ABOUT US
Mission Statement
To provide a source for teachers of Forensic Science to obtain and share authentic and professional information, techniques, and materials to aid in the teaching of Forensic Science on the high school level.

HSTOFS was the idea of 2 science teachers from New Jersey. Tim O'Boyle and Rich Veon taught Forensic Science for several years and began running workshops. Teachers from the workshop would continually ask for a way to keep in touch and keep sharing ideas. This started the idea of a web-based organization to help teachers share ideas and ask questions to help them teach Forensic Science in High School. The site launched on April 1st, 2005.  To date, there are more than 260 members from all over the country with additional members in Canada and Australia. The organization is growing at an average rate of 10 members a month.  It purpose resides in its mission statement.  A site for teachers built for teachers.  If you have any questions you can contact us at info@hstofs.org.
